We either purchase raw materials directly and in some cases, we make the raw materials purposefully. Most other brands cannot make this claim.
Because we make all our own products, we have the ultimate control over quality. Our head chemist and also company owner and founder tests each and every product himself and every product must not only perform as advertised, but it also has to outperform the competition.
3D LVP Cleaner or Leather, Vinyl Cleaner uses a blend of organic ingredients that excel and breaking down other organic and in-organic substances, this is how a cleaner work, by breaking down or emulsifying other “things”. The secret is for the cleaning ingredients to do their work without having a negative effect on the base materials they are used on. And that’s proprietary information that no company shares with the public. This is why we back all our products with a 110% Satisfaction Guarantee. If you’re not happy or impressed with the performance or results from any 3D products, we’ll refund you your purchase price plus 10% and that’s what WE mean when we say we back our products with a 110% satisfaction guarantee.
3D on the outside of the bottle means you can trust the product on the inside of the bottle.
IMPORTANT: Always work on a cool surface in the shade.
Step 1: Spray the 3D LVP Cleaner directly onto the surface to be cleaned and allow to dwell for 45 seconds to a minute. For heavily soiled areas, agitate with a brush.
Step 2: Blot-out the cleaner and the emulsified offending stain, spill, dirt and/or grime using a cotton terrycloth towel or a microfiber towel. Repeat if needed until surface looks uniform with surrounding areas.
Step 1: Spray the 3D LVP Cleaner directly onto the surface to be cleaned and allow to dwell for 30 to 45 seconds. For heavily soiled areas, agitate with a brush.
Step 2: Wipe the surface dry using a clean microfiber towel. Repeat this process to all leather and vinyl surfaces.
Pro Tech Tip
When cleaning any surface near glass, instrument gauges, display screens etc., to avoid overspray onto these more sensitive areas, instead of spray the surface directly, spray the 3D LVP Cleaner onto a microfiber towel and then wipe the areas with the dampened microfiber towel. Re-wipe the surface until dry using a separate, dry microfiber towel.
Step 1: Spray top with a strong blast of water to remove any loose dirt.
Step 2: Spray 3D LVP Cleaner directly onto a section of the top and agitate with a soft bristle brush. Repeat this to adjacent sections until you have cleaned one side of the top and then move to the other side of the car and repeat to the other side of the top.
Step 3: Rinse the top with a strong spray of water until the rinse water runs clear. This is the visual indicator all the cleaner and loosened and emulsified dirt are removed from the weave of the vinyl top.
Real-world Example – Cleaning the vinyl top on a 1964 Chevy Impala SS
Here’s the vinyl top on a 1964 Chevy Impala Mike Phillips recently detailed including cleaning and protecting the vinyl convertible top.
Impacted dirt and traffic film - Besides the normal airborne dirt, dust, pollen, and pollution that penetrates into the imprinted grain or weave-pattern used to create a more realistic looking appearance for vinyl tops, there’s also areas with insect droppings that are impacted into this weave pattern.
Pre-Rinse - When washing a car, the first thing you want to do with any convertible top and/or any car for that matter is to fully rinse the car to remove any loose dirt and debris. Spraying the car down with water begins the wetting process and this makes getting your car cleaner – safer. Water is a universal solvent – it breaks things down. By spraying your car down with water, the water will absorb into any dirt, dust, pollen and traffic film present on the car and this acts to both dissolve it and soften it and this makes removing it was a car wash soap and wash mitt safer.
Spray-on 3D LVP Cleaner - After blasting off any loose dirt, next spray the 3D LVP Cleaner directly onto one side of the vinyl top and then agitate the cleaner with a soft bristle brush.
Agitate with a soft bristle brush
Clean one side at a time - After cleaning one side of the top move to the other side of the car and clean the opposite side. Don’t let the cleaner dry on the top. In this example I had cool temperatures and plenty of cloud cover, which enabled me to clean and then rinse the top. If temperatures are warm, you can always clean and rinse one half of the top at a time to avoid having any dirt you’ve loosened with the cleaner re-dry onto the top.
Rinse thoroughly - 3D LVP Cleaner is formulated to rinse residue-free. This means a water spray is all that’s needed to remove 100% of the cleaner and any dirt and traffic film off the top. Some cleaners can be difficult to rinse of 100% and can even leave a residue film or scum on the top. You want the top completely clean and free from any substance as this perfectly prepares the top for a conditioner protectant.
Clean and dry – ready for the next step - After rinsing the top and also washing the rest of the car, dry the car to remove any standing water using your favorite drying towel.
The final result, a perfectly clean and dry top perfect for the next step of applying a conditioner and/or protectant.
